Italian Grape Ale (IGA) is an experimental beer-wine hybrid where brewers add grape must or wine yeast into beer fermentation.
The result: a beer with wine-like aromas, fruity esters, moderate bitterness, and interplay between grape and malt.
It's uniquely Italian and often regionally expressive.
